EMDR Therapy in WV
EMDRIA-certified trauma therapy for PTSD, anxiety, and more. Accepting new patients across West Virginia.

What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses guided eye movements to help the brain process and reframe traumatic memories.
At Passages Therapy, our founder Marlena Chestnut is EMDRIA-certified in EMDR, meaning she has completed the highest level of training and certification available. EMDR is recognized by the American Psychological Association and the World Health Organization as an effective treatment for PTSD and trauma.
What We Help With
Our Approach
EMDR therapy follows a structured eight-phase protocol. Sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive environment where you remain in control throughout the process. Many clients experience significant relief in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy.
Marlena Chestnut is EMDRIA-certified and has extensive experience using EMDR with both adults and children. If you are ready to begin healing, we are here to help.
